Will this mixture kill grass?

I read an article today promoting 'green' (rather than chemical) weed killers, and I'm wondering if this mix will kill off some unwanted grass:

*White vinegar

*Table salt

*Liquid dish soap

If it works, does it take long? Will it hurt the soil, or trees/shrubs planted in the area AFTER treatment? I'm trying to establish a mulched bed alongside the foundation, and don't want to sacrifice my nice landscape shrubs and plants!

Thanks!

Vinegar and Salt will kill any plants they come into contact with. The Vinegar will break down in the soil and be gone after a few months, but the salt is permanent and will kill any plant that tries to grow in the area afterwards.

The best organic weed killer available is plain old Boiling Water. Pour boiling water on the undesired weed and it will instantly kill the weed, roots and all. Within minutes the ground around the weed has cooled down to normal temperatures and can be replanted if you want.

Yes. The salt would dry it out and be permanent and IDK about the other two. I honestly don't think you can remove the extra grass without harming all of it.
