Should protecting the environment be a priority in the US?
I have been vegan since I was 10 years old, always having a strong sense of commitment toward liberating animals. Lately I feel almost hypocritical for not protecting the environment that animals live in, and promoting the growth of large industry. Is this a rational thought?

Yes, the USA does make it a priority to keep chemicals from getting into the water and soil, for humans and animals also. Making sure you cook the food properly, and store it, at home, where only you are responsible for monitoring that is as much a risk to your health over bad food, so don't forget to keep that a priority too.

No but why just in the US? What about me? I don't live there. The environment shouldn't be a priority anywhere, it's boring and there are far more important issues. Damaging the environment is not going to have a knock on effect in my life time anyway and I'm not having kids, so up your hacienda environment.

Not just the US but the whole world needs to make it priority, after all the earth doesn't need us but we need it
