I'm trying a very very hot campfire, like 2800 degrees at least. How do I make it this hot without getting killed?

I'm melting iron to support the Arabs(just kidding)(maybe)

A mixture of Fe2O3 (a.k.a. rust) and aluminum powder creates thermite, which burns at over 4,000 degrees F. The mixture has a high ignition temperature though, so you will have to ignite it with a wick or fuse of magnesium. As for doing it safely, I would recommend heat-resistant clothing, and a really long stick to light it with. I mean really, really long. At least 10 feet. Thermite is legal to mix in small quantities, but very large amounts will probably attract attention. A few safety tips: don't get any on your hands, and while its burning, don't look directly at the flash. Definitely don't breath in the dust.
