Is there a problem with not vaccinating a cat?

He's 13 yo Manx and is very healthy. Wild cats don't get vaccinated and live for years. I think that vets are scamming us into over vaccinating our cats.

I have one cat that freaks out if I take her to the vet. She'll be 20 in two days. I haven't kept her up on her shots but did recently get her in for a geriatric panel just to make sure she's doing OK and she is.

My other three cats are all show cats and stay current on their vaccines as I occasionally fly with them and/or go into Canada.

The rabies vaccine is required by law, but the others are not necessarily needed for an indoor cat. After kitten shots mine only gets a rabies every 3 years, same with my dogs.

The vast majority of wild cats won't live as long as yours has, for sure. Perhaps vaccines aren't all that required, but without them we'd see a lot more disease in our population of cats.
