What is Yahoo 7?
After months of no "best answer" or "violation notice" emails, I've had a violation notice from Yahoo 7. I haven't given Yahoo permission to relay my answers to other networks. Can I sue?
So it seems that a British person answering an American question has brought a blush to the cheek of an Australian who reported it. That destroys the stereotypes. As usual, the answer conformed to community guidelines and the reporter has now been demoted. I would suggest that if the content of Y!A is too strong for Network 7 subscribers, they stop linking to it.

Yahoo7 is just the Aussie version. Your notice was triggered by a user from that site. Remember, all the English sites are hooked together. As to other networks, you did give Yahoo permission when you created your account. Yahoo can do almost anything with content you post here. This is their property. A lawsuit would only waste your money.

That's Yahoo Australia partnering with Network 7, one of the country's well-known TV broadcasters. The violation email you got originated from there. It would be a very bad idea to sue the company, so just put that option out. Your case will be thrown out quickly because it has absolutely no merit.

It's the same Yahoo world wide. It is just the user who reported that you violated the Community Guidelines happens to have been in Australia, so the violation email will come from Oz, and be Yahoo 7.

Yahoo 7 is Yahoo Answers in Australia, so it is still part of this site. It looks like you have answered a question that was submitted in Australia.

It isn't another network. It is simply the Australian part of Yahoo Answers. They teamed with an Australian TV channel, I think it was, so they got a slightly different name. Generally when you get a violation notice like that, it means somebody in Australia did the final report that triggered the violation. I get them from the UK, Canada - and yes, Yahoo7 once in a while, myself. :-)
