my dog can't be house trained?
He never warns us when he has to go even though we crate train him and he's always in our sight. He just peed right in front of us. We've been training him to go outside for about a month. And this morning he pooped in my sisters room and now this. He has a designated spot so I don't know why he did that. He never warns us. He literally squatted in front of our face. If we can't potty train him we have to give him away. We live in an apartment with carpet and they charge you for urine scents and stains. He is on a schedule of feeding and going out. What is his problem? We sought a trainer and they said we're doing everything right. He just won't warn us, we've had it.

If this dog is peeing in front of you, then your not getting him out enough. Get a leash on that dog and get him out more often. Clean up the area's he has peed with Natures Miracle. Praise him when he does his business outside.
The dog IS probably giving you signals that he needs to go out, but the humans aren't paying attention. Human fault, not dogs fault.
All dogs can be housetrained. Oh and a dog is a commitment, so if you dump this dog because the humans in the home can't housebreak it, then don't ever get another dog again.

All dogs can be house trained. If he is not going when you want him to go take him out more often and when he does go make a huge deal about it like he has just won a Nobel Prize. And don't let him in areas of the house that you can't watch him. If you see him about to squat rush him outside. If he doesn't go come in and wait 10-15 minutes and go back out.
It took me almost 5 months to housebreak my youngest stubborn dog. My dog was literally tethered to me with a leash at all times unless he was in his crate at bedtime or while I was at work. When he ate or drank he was outside exactly 15 minutes later. And he was outside ever 2 hours.
Every dog can be housebroken.

I had this problem with my dog. You've got to catch him in the act. Is he fixed? Whenever you take your dog out, use a clicker or tell him he's good and give him a treat. That way he'll associate outside with food. Then, only give him a treat when he goes potty outside. Also, take him out first thing in the morning.
Another option if you cant get through to him is a belly band.

When you see him stop to pee or poop and catch him pick him up and say no and take him outside fast. If you don't catch him you can do nothing. You can also try to teach him that if he sits by the door you will open it by telling him to sit by the door each time you take him out. My puppy was pretty bad until I caught him doing it. Seems to have gotten the message across. Lots of positive enforcement is needed when he goes outside as well. Give him a command for peeing and then once he's done his business give him a treat and/or plenty of praise. He will show different signs such as distraction meaning he needs to pee. You need to notice this. He's just a baby and doesn't know how to hold it or tell you he needs to go. When there are accidents this young it is your fault for not taking him out. If he won't pee and you're sure he needs to take him for a short walk

Is this an adult or puppy? Puppies should not be loose in homes, until they ARE housebroken. Most cannot find their way to the correct outer door (as they have VERY POOR eye sight and have very limited & quick firing bladders).
If this is an adult dog (you adopted) are you sure he was EVER housebroken by ANYBODY? Is he intact or neutered? If intact, he needs to be neutered so we can rule out MARKING - which is different from peeing. Are we sure he is free of any medical issues like a urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine, or kidney or bladder stones? If so, look into belly bands (for male dogs) at your local pet store. They will catch the urine, if he is marking or peeing in appropriately.

All dogs can be house trained if you're patient, constantly supervise, contain when you can't, immediate correction when caught in the act, consistent, diligent, time (minimum 6-18 months) and do it properly. Dogs don't come trained that's your responsibility.
Not the dogs responsibility to warn you, your responsibility to train, provide elimination times, feed it properly and clean all soiled areas immediately.
If you're not willing to train it then perhaps for the dogs sake return it and/or re-home it instead of allowing it to suffer. And don't get another pet.

Rubbish any dog can be housetrained given the correct training Unless it is ill. A vetcheck might be therefore the order of the day
