Is the battle against so called man-made Global Warming an absurd, costly & pointless crusade?
'There is not a single fact, figure or observation that leads us to conclude that the world‘s climate is in any way 'disturbed.' It is variable, as it has always been, but rather less so now than during certain periods or geological eras.'

To call it pointless gives the warmists too much credit. It is much worse than that. The hidden cost of this psueudo-scientific fraud is enormous; we have now taught two generations of schoolchildren that questioning global warming is an immoral act; that ad hominem and ad populum arguments are 'good science'; and an appeal to authority comprises a valid scientific case. We are well on our way to creating a population incapable of thinking critically. The future cost of this folly is incalculable.

Yes it is costly. That is by design, as statists use it to seize power while environmentalists wish to implement their green religious agenda.
If the solution were nuclear power, the environmentalists would overnight turn into skeptics, just as the 'pacifists' became prowar when Hitler invaded Russia.

Well, it is not totally pointless. It made Al Gore and George Soros richer. It has taken away a lot of our God given liberties. It is an excuse for 'environmentalists' to get away from their mates and go whoring at club meds at our expense.
Scientifically it IS pointless. It never was scientific anyway.
Quote by Ottmar Edenhoffer, high level UN-IPCC official: "We redistribute de facto the world's wealth by climate policy...Basically it's a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization...One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore."
Quote by Club of Rome: "In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill....All these dangers are caused by human intervention....and thus the “real enemy, then, is humanity itself....believe humanity requires a common motivation, namely a common adversary in order to realize world government. It does not matter if this common enemy is “a real one or….one invented for the purpose."
The real point is control over the peons of the world.

Hey I'm pretty sure most if not all of the climatologist stood in the corner wearing pointy hats in grade school. So not completely pointless.

it's costly enough, sure as hell
if it's pointless that's only because it's almost certainly a lost cause, given that the vast majority of the human parasites currently infesting what's left of the earth will almost certainly go right on destroying their own environment until the agricultural industries fail and they begin to starve in earnest, by which it will of course be far too late to do anything.
I wouldn't call it absurd though
and if you think the opinion of some random mathematician about climate is worth two cents against the consensus of the great majority of actual climate scientists who completely disagree with him, well, feel free to call me any time you need heart surgery. my brother is really great at hvac and I'm sure one expert is as good as another to you

Absolutely, there is zero evidence that global warming is happening, and no chance of reducing CO2 emissions.
