There's a girl I like at school, so what should I do?

So I've known her for a few weeks, and she seems really cool. We are both around 17, and I was planning to hang out with her sometime after school or something. However, I am Asian and got helicopter parents. Furthermore, I am not sure if she likes me back or if she has a boyfriend. Homecoming is coming up fast, so I just act quickly. All my life I studied, but if I could remember one thing from high school, it'd be her. But if I asked her out, I would have to face her every single day until the year is over because she's in my class.

What should I do?
