im feeding a baby bird bread moistened in water to a insect eater. how bad is that? it already has survived the last four days.?

Young birds are developing quickly (lots of cell divisions) so they need a lot of protein. Even birds that do not eat insects as adults often bring insects back to their babies to eat because insects are rich in proteins. Bread has about 8% protein. The rest of the bread is carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are good too, because they can be used for fuel for the body, but the body needs protein to grow.

Bread is bad for any baby bird, it isn't processed by the body very well. And insect eaters need INSECTS not bread.
