Air National Guard to college ROTC?

I'm currently very interested in joining my local air national guard. My question is if after I get settled in the guard and decide to attend college is it possible to join the ROTC program there and try to become an officer? And if so does it have to be in the same branch as I'd currently be in (ie: Air Force)? The university offers each branch and I just think it would be cool to be able to kinda experience two different branches. But unfortunately things rarely workout so nicely. Thanks for any help you can provide!

yes you can do both. it would be advantageous to make it the same Branch but not a requirement.

look at SMP.. it is an Army program,but.. if accepted you would be contracted in ROTC but NON DEPLOYABLE while drilling.

if you go Guard or Reserves any other way, your college plans may be put on hold if you get called up to deploy
