How Do You Describe....?

The protagonist in my story is being resurrected. His name is Sam, he is a 31 year old neet from modern times that just died.

The next thing he will do is wake up as a baby from another world. This world is in the medieval times and is born in the country. Later on in the story he will be a prodigy in magic and swordsmanship, but that doesn't matter. He, when he realizes this is a new life, he will be saying that he will live life to the fullest because his old life was nothing as he was a failure in it.

An example I got from another story is,

"When I woke up, the first thing I felt was my eyes being dazzled. Light filled my vision, and narrowed my eyes in discomfort. Once my eyes adjusted to the brightness, I found a young blonde woman gazing at me.

A beautiful girl.... No, a beautiful woman would be more of an appropriate name. Who is this?

Beside her was a man with brown hair of a similar young age, giving me a stiff smile. A strong and arrogant looking man. his muscles were amazing. looking at his appearance I should have been repulsed. Strangely enough, I didn't feel he was unpleasant.

"-------- ---- ------" They chatted while gazing at me dearly..."

Remember that is what another author put and I don't want to be vandalizing her in anyway because I somewhat respect her. Can you give me another example that I can work on or use some bits and pieces?
