Is there a good reason for people to buy bottled water,when clean,safe,drinking water is freely available ?

Not in the UK. Some people can't even walk down the street without swigging from bottled water.

Not really but I have a few friends who swear they can taste the difference. But then when you think how many people London water has passed through, bottled water isn't a bad idea. I just drink it if I'm out for a day though.

I buy mine in the 5 gal. bottle here. They say the water is safe if you have city water. But in a 3rd world Country you are never sure. They even have dispensers at busness's that sell a plastic bag of water here for 2 peso.

Did you ever ask yourself why people will pay $1 for a bottle of water but hate paying $1 for a litre of gas?

Not really,so long as you are in a country that has genuine pure water US UK most of Europe. But a bottle of water seems quite trendy in some quarters ?

As I see it.

It is a marketing gimmick that made people millions. When cable was first out the reason for paying for free TV at the time? Uncensored TV and commercial free, that is why they needed to charge for what people already got for free...see much commercial free cable lately? Another gimmick that got people to pay for something they already received for basically nothing

In some area's water taste better than other places.....Our area has lots of rust in the water without water softeners......but found water purchased is easier to drink....especially refrigerate it.

Even by median ages a thick muscled neck of woman was the beauty standard in Europe.

They brought home water on the top of their head.Only aristocrats woman has had "pipe" slim necks.

I found the taste of tap water changes too often, I live on Arrowhead water from the supermarket.
