I talk to people inside my head?
I talk to Alice and Freddy. They both live inside my head. We get along pretty well and I use Alice as an alias when I need to. I don't think it's multiple personality disorder because neither of them have tried to take control of my body. I have wanted them to because I want to take breaks and be able to just be a bystander when I get bored or something but it doesn't work. I am unsure if this is a hallucination because I know they aren't real people. Or so I think I know they aren't real people. I mean, I created them but I don't remember creating Alice. I remember giving her a name and a face but not ever saying oh, I'm going to make a person now. I just want to know if this is normal behavior for a 16 year old girl. Are these imaginary friends or a mental disorder. Alice said I needed to ask someone if they do this because I don't know how normal people are supposed to think. She usually tells me they won't understand but she told me it would be okay to do it in this manner. I surprised at this.

Alice and Freddy are aspects of yourself. There is nothing wrong with that. Some people use music to process their thoughts/emotions, some people use writing or painting, some people have imaginary friends.
They are a part of your personality, so they want what is best for you, but sometimes imaginary friends can be pretty abstract, especially if they get stressed out, so if they tell you something that seems weird or wrong, maybe don't take it literally :p
If you talk about it with a therapist, use the phrase "I imagine myself having conversations in my head..." Schizophrenia is still not well understood, and many perfectly healthy people have been put on debilitating "treatments" because they hear voices.
Life is a lot more complex and interesting than it seems. Get to know your friends and they will help you know yourself better.

You may have schizophrenia that can cause auditory hallucinations. Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe, and disabling brain disease. Approximately 1 percent of the population develops schizophrenia during their lifetime – more than 2 million Americans suffer from the illness in a given year. Although schizophrenia affects men and women with equal frequency, the disorder often appears earlier in men, usually in the late teens or early twenties, than in women, who are generally affected in the twenties to early thirties. People with schizophrenia often suffer terrifying symptoms such as hearing internal voices not heard by others, or believing that other people are reading their minds, controlling their thoughts, or plotting to harm them. These symptoms may leave them fearful and withdrawn. Their speech and behavior can be so disorganized that they may be incomprehensible or frightening to others. Available treatments can relieve many symptoms, but most people with schizophrenia continue to suffer some symptoms throughout their lives; it has been estimated that no more than one in five individuals recovers completely.
