Can i fish for bass as long as I release?
Can i fish for bass or other species of fish before the season opens? I mean its obvious the answer would be no but on good days you just want to fish. And its not in our control what goes after our lure/bait. And of course I catch and release.

No fishing is no fishing, that includes catch and release. Download some fishing game and wait until its time to fish.

You can still get in trouble for simply having the rod out. Try fishing for something else right now.

So... if you know the obvious answer, why would you still think about doing it? Breaking the law is still breaking the law no matter how you look at it.
