Renewing license when or before I turn 21?

i have some questions that pop into mind. Im going to to turn 21 this june and of course I know I have to renew my license. Question number 1 is if I renew my license 3-2 weeks earlier will it say on my I.D that I am under 21? Question number 2 is if I should wait till im 21 to renew, then how am I going to drive to the DMV with an expire license? Is it the same process where I will have to carry my yellow papers with me till my I.D comes in?

    Do it 2-3 weeks prior. It will not say under 21 as it is not a same day turn around. Also, anyone checking an ID of someone of your age will also look at the date of birth, and photo.

    Do your renewal before it expires, or it is not a renewal and you will retest and pay extra fees for expired license. Any time the month before your birthday will do.
