why are my rabbits always hungry?

Rabbits do eat all the time. As herbivores they graze. The mushy poos indicate improper diet. They need a lot of fiber and they get this from hay. Hay should be the biggest part of the diet and should be available to them with fresh water all the time. If commercial pellet is fed it should be rationed to about 1/4 cup for every 5 pounds of rabbit. Fresh food can be fed but should be limited to mostly fresh leafy greens. Carrot can be fed but only small amounts. 1 small baby carrot a day is enough. Fruits can also be fed but just a small slice or a berry a few times a week. Fresh herbs can be fed as a treat any time. Don't feed them anything but pellets or hay until they are better then only small portions of veggies once a week will be fine they are use to high fiber diets so please no matter how sweet they look at you it's not worth their suffering. Diarrhea is dangerous to bunnies and can quickly lead to death. To ease the diarrhea give them a small portion of dry uncooked rice to make their poos more solid and one slice of banana to ease any cramping and indigestion. If their still drinking water and eating they will be okay if not take them to a vet immediately.

Give them hay. Rabbits can eat as much hay (timothy or orchard) without getting fat or sick.

Rabbits are herbivores and it's natural for them to eat vegetation all day, unlike carnivores like dogs and cats that eat in separate meals.
