Chrysler 200 fuel economy issues?
So I have a 2013 Chrysler 200 and it's near 8800 kms (5400 miles) and I'm not getting the fuel economy levels that I am supposed to be getting.
I used to have a 2000 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor and got exactly what fueleconomy.gov said I would.
I normally saw around 10l/100kms consumption. this number would go up if I predominantly drove on the highway and go down a bit if I only drove around in town.
now in the 200 I'm not even getting that good on highway alone with smoother, less aggressive driving.
despite the fact that fueleconomy.gov says I should be getting better.
check out the comparison here.

I've also noticed that with the Mercedes when I drove it hard the fuel economy wouldn't go down nearly as much as it does when I drive the 200 hard. I realize that this varies a lot by car but I should really be getting better fuel economy.
any ideas of what could be going wrong?
I get that cars won't really get close to the factory specs but even comparing to fueleconomy.gov, I was getting extremely close to the ratings in the old Mercedes but the 200 is not only not getting close to it, it's even worse than the Mercedes.

The way we at Chrysler dealers find out what the gas mileage a car gets is to take it to a gas pump and fill it all the way to the neck and then drive it at highway speed on the open road with the AC on and on cruise for about 10 to 15 miles. Then turn around and drive back to the same pump and park at the same spot and fill it up again just like the first time. Then we figure the mileage. Also, factory rated mileage isn't figured this way, but at a set speed, which may not be highway speed, and with the AC off!
