How can I upgrade the processor speed of my Toshiba laptop?

My laptop a Toshiba Satellite has a AMD E-240 Processor 1.50 GHz & it is very slow rating at 2.5. Is there a way to upgrade the processing speed, like there is for upgrading memory? If yes, what would you recommend? Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Not really about the only thing you can do with a laptop is upgrade memory or a bigger hard drive is some cases.

Well, I would first check in the nearest electronics store. See if you can find Future Shop or Staples. Vision or Source would work as well. See if you could upgrade your computer for the reasons you have listed above. Ask a representative about it. If nothing turns up, you may have to buy another computer. I would recommend buying another computer which is better than the one you were mentioning. Because IF there is an upgrade, I needn't say they work. They might harm the computer while placing the upgrade. And if you have warranty ( or if you bought it in that case) then you can just ask for a refund and buy another up to date one. But if you want to JUST upgrade for unnoted reasons, just ask the representatives from where you got it from. These are the safest and most reliable options available. Thank you! Hope that helped!

資料來源: I once had the same problem with my Acer Aspire S3. I still had the warranty I bought 2 years ago. I just got a refund and bought a better computer that can have more memory.

Processor speed is rarely where the bottle neck occurs, a slow computer is usually fixed by upgrading to a faster hard drive or just pain cleaning out all the junk files. Unless your, playing games designed for desktop editing Movies or Music in real time, most modern computer processors can handle whatever you throw at them.

You can download ccleaner for free here: http://bit.ly/1Bk5V5C

    First open CCleaner

Go to the Cleaner tab and you will be confronted by a very confusing lineup of checkboxes.

To make this brief, below is my recommended setup:

Under internet explorer check temporary internet files, cookies, and last download location. Most users don't really need this stuff. keep history and bookmarks unchecked, history is a maybe, but you don't want to lose bookmarked sites. You can normally leave Windows Explorer, System, and Advanced alone.

Run CCleaner and it will start deleting files.

afterward it will present you with a list of the files deleted, you really don't need to go through it as it will be several pages long.

The registry cleaner is recommended for slightly more advanced users. Use it after uninstalling programs as they will often leave behind incorrect registry entries.

If you decide to run Registry cleaner then review the items detected and always back up the registry (I keep a folder aside for this)

The Tools tab lets you uninstall programs and set startup programs. Why do you need this if Windows has all of these features? Especially with Vista Home Ed. The windows defender software explorer( startup programs) doesn't pick up some entries (however software explorer is easier to use).

Using CCleaner to uninstall programs and then check for leftover registry entries takes less time.

Under Options you can determine how CCleaner cleans your files. I leave this alone.
