good hotels off of interstate near new orleans?
iam looking for a safe area off the interstate to saty but close enough to the french quarter and other sites

If you are intent on staying near the interstate, look toward the west and somewhere near the airport. The motels to the east aren't in such great places. There are no "hotels" near the interstate.
