Revolution TV Show Question?

Well the first half of the season was really a waste of time. It was basically an all out race to save Charlie's brother who immediatly died when the series came back from hiatus. Then the plot changed and they now wanted to turn the power on. Too much to really explain in detail, but now the power is on and it turns out the whole thing was a conspiracy by the US executive government to throw the world into chaos and wait a few decades until they could turn on the power, nuke everyone, and swoop in to take supreme power. Basically they wanted to turn the USA into a dictatorship.

The story is really quite weak in my opinion. There seems to be no reality involved at all, and it is mostly impossible stuff. For one, the power can not just come on out of nowhere 20 years later. Also, the process to launch a nuke is much more complicated than a guy typing a pin code in and hitting a red button. It takes more than one person generally.

So basically, many years before the time the show takes place the power and electricity around the world just shut off, leading to all out chaos across the USA. People killed each other for supplies and new countries were formed. The two most powerful of those states were Georgia (based where Georgia is now) and the Monroe Republic (based out of the New England states). The main antagonists were Sebastian Monroe (leader of the Monroe Republic) and Randall Flynn (who comes to Monroe and says he can help make him the most powerful man in the world). When Monroe discovers there is a tower in Colorado that can turn on the power and has incredible weaponry, he and Randall go there to unlock its power. Meanwhile, Rachel and Aaron have been on a long trek to the Tower to turn the power on and neutralize Monroe. They get there, but only after Monroe and Flynn do. Rachel, Aaron, and eventually Nora, Miles, and Charlie all get inside the tower, but so do Monroe and Flynn. Rachel, Aaron, Charlie, and Miles all make it to Level 12 in the Tower, which is where the power can be turned on, an Aaron turns the power back on. Flynn, however, was waiting there for them to turn on the power so he can launch missiles en route to Atlanta and Philadelphia, the capitals of Georgia and Monroe Republic. Flynn was working for the US Colony all along and using Monroe to get into the Tower to launch those missiles, crippling the Georgia and Monroe Republic and allow an opportunity for the US Colony to attack both of them.

Also, Tom Neville, a former colonel (or something like that) of the Monroe Republic's army, starts a revolt against Monroe. I think he'll turn out to be one of the two major antagonists (the other being the President of the US Colony and Monroe will turn out to be a protagonist).
