Home Brew Beer Makers - Attention!?

I am about to break my own rule. I have made twelve batches and they all came out great because I adhered to the recipes for every brew (except for a kicker can or bag of extra malt). My next batch tomorrow is a Grolsch clone and I am thinking of adding a quarter cup of vanilla extract. What do you think?

I'm not sure vanilla would work well in a lager. Try adding it to a milk or oatmeal stout.

Thanks for sharing your brewing rule. That is something very helpful for me. Other wise I used to take brewing tips from homebrewtips. net which is also very authentic and reliable way of getting information.

Better to add a little vanilla at serving time instead of risking the addition of too much during the brewing process. Once you find the sweet spot...extrapolate that amount into your brew day.

Once it's in...you can't take it out and too much could spoil the entire batch.
