for hair products, combs, curling iron etc. OR for office supplies, stationery, envelopes, pens, scissors, etc.

You can use dishpans on a shelf to sort small toys like lego blocks, ongoing in a craft room, clothes, videos, books, bath and beauty supplies, linens, basically this creates a drawer system...for anything you would like to tuck away.

You can use velveeta boxes in a silverware drawer.

You can use silverware sorters in any kind of bathroom, kitchen, or hobby room drawer.

You can use tackle boxes, toolboxes, caboodle boxes, picnic baskets, or sewing boxes...for ANYTHING. All these have dividers and a share of small compartments.

You can use flower pots for pens and pencils.

You can use crystal light containers for first aid kits.

You can use an empty laundry detergent bottle, or any jug that has a lid that screws tight, as a hot water bottle...cuddle it when you have cramps during your period. OR put it at the foot of the bed on a cold night. This is a container used for something else!

If you need some room in your kitchen, you can use your dishwasher as a drain rack for clean dishes. OR can use your refrigerator to store canned goods or tupperware. OR you can use a cheap laundry basket to store your lightweight storage ware, sippy cups, etc. on top of the fridge. Just pull it down and rifle through it when you need something.

You can use tall kitchen wastebaskets as laundry hampers. You can use a small wastebasket as a mop bucket. Just slide it around, it doesn't need to be on wheels. I use the one in my bathroom....bonus is that it cleans the wastebasket.

You can use empty kleenex boxes as a little desktop or tabletop wastebasket. When it is full, just throw it out...

A word about storage containers in general for inside a cabinet. If you get the square ones instead of round, you have more storage. If you have two containers, one round and one square or rectangular...that fit in the same space...the square holds more...because the corners aren't rounded off.
