Is there a fee for opening a bank account at wells fargo?

So i opened an account once before but stopped using it because i was unemployed. So i called and they said something about a fee for making a new account. And oh do you have to schedule appointments at a wells fargo to go open a bank account?

    Just go to another bank. Usually, you need no appointment. This is not like going to the doctor's office. Sounds like your branch has some strange people working there. Take your business elsewhere.
