Aiden or Aidan? Which spelling do your prefer?

Which spelling do you prefer and why?

Please note, I'm not asking for an opinion on the name itself. I'm aware that it's super popular and it's generally one of those names that you either hate or love. All I want to know is which spelling you would prefer and why you prefer that spelling over the other. If you prefer a different spelling variant, that's ok and I'd love to hear a reason for that too.

Aidan, it's the original way of spelling it in English, and just looks smarter and classier. Aiden is more common but looks dumbed down and pedestrian to me.

Love this name so much and I think I would go with Aiden just because I think Aidan is used a lot and its just a little but different way to spell it!

Good luck and I hope thats what you were looking for!

I like the 'e' spelling better.

I opened another window and went to wikipedia and looked up the spelling for the sex and the city character named Aidan and he spells it: Aidan, with an 'a', but I think I still like the 'e'.

Aiden the e makes the name appear more masculine than the alternative. That's about it.

Aiden with an "e" is my preferred choice. To me it just seems right :)

  • Aiden. It just looks better and goes with how it's pronounced.

  • Aiden :)
