Is the Metrorail connection to MIA open yet?

The last time l was at Miami International Airport they were building a direct (Metrorail) line right into the airport, is it open yet? Will it eliminate the shuttle service between Amtrak rail & the airport?

    Yes there is a connection that goes by the car rental center and connects to the Tri-Rail / Amtrak station. It became fully functional earlier this year. You will have to change trains though. I know the shuttle service was a nightmare.

    The connection is open for MetroRail. However, the Amtrak station still doesn't connect to it, so you still have to take a shuttle.
