Elementary and Intermediate Algebra Textbook editions?!?
I am looking to save money on college textbooks and have heard that you can often buy the last edition without missing out on much info. Does anybody know if I would be fine purchasing the 2nd edition of "Elementary and Intermediate Algebra" By George Woodbury rather than the latest 3rd edition?
Any help is appreciated!! I'd much rather get the 2nd one for $10 than the 3rd for 75....

If you plan the way then you can certainly save lots of money on textbook. In your case the 2nd edition of "Elementary and Intermediate Algebra" By George Woodbury seems to be a good choice as the information is mostly the same. It all depends on how hardworking, dedicated and intelligent you are. You can also try Abebooks that is the cheapest place on the web to get textbooks.

it wont harm you in say the learning process. You'd still learn all the material just fine, but it depends on what kind of school or teacher you have. I was very happy buying the newest editions of some of my math books because some of my teachers would put homework questions right on test, guaranteed points right there if you did it. if you're really confident then you should be fine buying the last edition. unless for some reason your teacher wanted you to hand in your homework, which some do that as well. Are you able to borrow a book from the library at your college? if so I suggest doing that, and copying pages out on the copier. Save yourself a lot of money that way.
