Loneliness and the Human Brain?

Hi! So I'm writing a movie and I'm satisfied with how I've crafted different personalities for each character, but I was wondering something: What effect does loneliness have on a human? Now I'm not talking about complete isolation, I am toying with the idea of being Romantically lonely. (Yes, it's an overused theme) And I would also like to know if the "Wilson Effect" (Where his only companion was a volleyball that he talked to and developed a personality for) that Tom Hanks goes through in Castaway would work with romantic loneliness.

1) So how does the lack of a significant other effect the human brain and psyche.

2) And could somebody create what is essentially an imaginary friend because of this loneliness.

OH! And if you're a psychologist or psychiatrist, please say so. I think it'll be cool to have professionals answer this.

all feelings / thoughts generate from the mind. and hence our action and obsession that translate into physical acts.

so can we agree its in our mind? right?

when we go into such mode, its our mind that goes into it. right?

the mind is the brain. right?

so we learn to control 'that fella'

silly huh! no we hv to control the brain. it has a tendency to goof off, go off a tangent, go on its own- kinda have a mind of its own.

yea, but we're the owner - so we hv to own it, control it and let it obey us!!

yes we hv to learn how it function. interesting organ.

once we learn we hv to practice hard to control it. - ie to balance the left and right side.

not easy long process. start now.

its gonna be tough but with willpower and discipline we wld do it

just as important - eat brain food - fruits, fish vege nuts [almonds] - good food good brain good brain behaviour

avoid as much - fast / junk/ processed food / red meat / cola / sugars / fried. - all these fuel our brain to revolt / depress / do stupid things.

    all the best
