Does anyone have details of the agreement reached in Durban?

I haven't been able to find the detail.

In particular I'm trying to fnd out;

- What happens in the gap between 2012 and 2015?

- What reductions are the US, China, and India committing to?

- What reductions are current Annex I and Annex II countries committing to?

- What is the end date for achievement of the reductions?

- What are the penalties for not meeting the reduction commitment?

- Who are the beneficiaries of the scheme? (under Kyoto there were very large financial benefits to support developing countries ... like China).

You could try following links from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_United_Nations_C...

Not sure every one of your sub-questions is an issue in the agreement, though I'd guess that most are.

I haven't really followed this closely because like all prior agreements, it seems unlikely to have much tangible effect.

As the icecaps melted water levels rose

We raised our hands together and made the levees hold

Heals in the sand we revealed the depths below

And the sirens wailed as the empire crumbled…

With nothing left to plunder corporations drowned

Waves clapped like thunder and stormed the gates with sound

    Forming a new nation now

And from the barren wastelands of naked trash

We stitched together a shelter from fallen nation’s flags

And chose to build a future from an ancient past

Sweet Fanny Adams, just the usual bunch of shysters, charlatans and tax gobblers having a jollie at Joe Public's expense.

Rather then extract the answers for you about the results, check out the link and watch the pod cast.

Amy Goodman, the journalist from Democracy Now, conducted interviews at the summit. This is incredible coverage in case you didn't get to see it when it aired on FSTV (Free Speech TV) early in the week. As usual, the US tried to get out of doing anything. Also check out Oxfam's article on the Summit in Durban SA.
