    Hi Carling

It sounds like well from reading the other comments that they are pitching for apples type of market.

with the interconnect, to other devices.

so they are years behind with that idea.

so now we are grasping at straws as they say. maybe with out uncle bill's influence, things are starting to slip in to the mere.

    or is it cesspool.

with ubuntu hard on there heels and apple products taking there tole on there lion's share no pun intended apple.

so we now have another heap of wombats pooh to deal with, well i think i am going to give this one a wide berth. having now got used to ubuntu and just got to grips with an Apple.

I think i will pass on the misery of microsoft till windows 9 appears if it does.

資料來源: So how long will it be before they decide that windows 8 was a rush job and move on to the next idea.

Windows have changed the User Interface completely in Windows 8.

Instead of using desktop and start menu, metro style applications are used, which makes Windows 8 very different from other versions.

As a old-fashioned guy, I also didn't liked Windows 8 much but I think we need to accept the changes and new technology.

Windows 8 is mainly designed for touchscreens and I will like to stick with Win7.

Not a fan of the Metro UI. I find it annoying. Also, it's frustrating that there are elements of the OS, which are key components, that are still obviously unchanged since XP. They need to focus more on infrastructure and less on bells and whistles.

I have it running in a VM and showed it to my husband. He uses Linux at work and figures that once his current Windows machine at home dies, he'll be switching to either Linux or Mac OS at home.

I believe it is more about being a base system for Cell phones, tablets and Touch Screens. It's only a developers release, so it's hard to expect much. The Hot-To-Geek has written so interesting articles so far:

I left my installation of Win8 on my computer for less than a week. Hated the 'Metro' interface.

Although there is a way to turn off the Metro if you want.

Eye Candy is fun, does not mean it works, or helps, it may have potential, I would not buy that MSDOS re-write + Linux + Ruby + other Free or F/OSS systems and programs that work, for free.

I started on UNIX, now I use GNU/Linux , it works, add all the eye candy you want, or do not, freedom to choose , free to learn.
