Red Raspberry Leaf Tea and periods?
So I have some of this tea left from when I was trying to breastfeed my son and I know it also has benefits other than when nursing or during the end of pregnancy. My question is whether or not anyone knows anything about using it to help "regulate" periods? My period is perfectly regular, as I am on the pill. The cramps aren't too bad, but they are still not great.
How much tea should I be drinking to help ease period symptoms? One cup a day enough, two cups, three cups? I remember when I was trying to lactate it was a LOT of tea that was recommended and I felt like every time I turned around I was making/drinking another cup of tea.
Also, do you get the benefits if you drink the tea only during your period? Or is it like cranberry juice where it takes time to build up to have the beneficial effect and you really should be drinking a glass a day even between periods to get the best effect?

If you're on the pill then you don't menstruate (no ovulation = no menstruation), you withdrawal bleed and that's only regular due to how you take the pill. The tea will have similar effects, but obviously can't regulate your menstrual cycle when your menstrual cycles are being suppressed.
The tea should help with cramps - not the best way to prevent/treat/ease cramps, but if you've got the tea spare it will still help a lot (my foster daughter swears by this; I'd make her a cup of tea once an hour alternating between this, vitex, and camomile) - you only need to drink it during bleeding, not all cycle, it's main benefit in this respect is that it will relax your uterus so ease the 'contractions' that are responsible for the menstrual cramps.
As a tea take as needed - it is very much a case of drinking it when you have cramps and for as long as you have cramps - just stop if you get an upset stomach. If I remember rightly it's a nice tea to drink, so maybe a few cups a day in replacement for normal tea of coffee may be an idea.
