What is a good last car.?
All kinds of people ask the same question over and over, "what is a good first car?". So, I am getting up in years and thought I would ask "what is a good last car?" The car you would buy if you were getting old and this might be the last one? Would you get the biggest SUV you could so you could safely run into things? Would you get the Shelby you never had in your youth? Would you look for one with a warranty as long as your life expectancy is? What about something that would appeal to your grandchildren after you are gone? Would you look for one that had automatic everything or a simple one that you could operate the radio and heater without reading the owner's manual?

It's really a personal choice. If you never bought a mid-life crisis car(aka the corvette) it's probably too late now, unless you can afford two vehicles. I'm a teen, but don't think I am supplying you with faulty information. One of my grandpas has a beige Lincoln Continental, it is comfortable and has a big trunk, but it is the most boring, stereotypical elderly driver car in the world. Stay away from typical "old people" cars if you care enough to put this question on Yahoo!. However, lots of room, comfort, and trunk space are important to the elderly. I recommend you stick with a high riding sedan, as a SUV will start to hurt climbing up into after a while. My recommended best picks are the Hyundai Genesis, Buick Lacrosse, Chrysler 300, Ford Taurus/Lincoln MKS, and Acura RL. They have good, smooth power, plenty of luxury and room, big trunks, and higher ride heights. However, they're all expensive, and I don't know how much you're willing to spend. My other grandpa has a Subaru Outback. He lives in the snow, I live in the snow, it is an amazing vehicle for winter. I would want his sportier Subaru over the Lincoln Continental any day. But, your kids or grandchildren aren't really the issue here. As a final reminder, a big V8 is no longer needed to move a big car comfortably. That stereotype is ingrained in older men's minds and it just isn't true. It's all about smoothness and technology of the transmission.

I would probably stick with an ATX (since my knees give me trouble). The 302 Boss looks sweet, but I'd probably go with the couple instead of another ragtop. Blue, I think.

something exotic or a vintage classic hands down. Something that makes you feel cool.
