Upgrading my ugly computer?

Here is my computer's specifications-

Biostar P4M800 micro ATX motherboard

Intel Pentium 4 (Prescott)

512 mb DDR ram (256*2)

Nvidia Geforce fx5500 256mb graphic card AGP 8x

450w Power supply

I know that i should be buying a new pc....because i bought this like 6 years ago but i cant afford to buy a whole new computer.So is there anyway i can upgrade this computer to play games like assassins creed,dirt 2,arma 2,battle field bad company 2etc i definitly need to change my graphic card but am not sure which one to buy

    Best bang for your buck is to upgrade your RAM.

    Open it up and see if you have empty slots, if so, fill them with another 512 or 1GB of RAM. Otherwise, replace your current RAM sticks with 512*2 sticks or more.
