I want my avatar to replace gray cube on Y! answers. FAQ has not helped.?
Have tried all advice found to date without success. The phrase "Edit My Info" doesn't appear on my profile page, although my avatar does.

<Edit my info> was recently changed to <edit my preferences>, maybe that's why you didn't find it...:-)
To create/change a Yahoo cartoon avatar go here:
Then go to: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit , click "use my yahoo avatar" -> scroll down -> click "preview" and then "ok".
Another possibility: go to http://avatars.yahoo.com/avatar_towns.html
For all other picture avatars:
http://profiles.yahoo.com/ - go here to create a profile -> click "change photo" -> click "add photo" -> select the picture you want from your harddrive -> click "save". Now click "use selected photo", done.
Note: the pic has to be a .jpg or .png file, it must be smaller than 5 MB, and it also has to be square.

My profile,click edit my info Click on edit my profile. Edit my profile image, new page opens. Change photo click add photo, browse hard drive for photo complete captcha upload picture. that should be it.
