How do you feel, knowing that the arguments against same sex marriage are the exact same used against?

It annoys me because it shows that people never learn. This is just like when interracial marriage was illegal. People even gave (and some still do!) interracial couples dirty looks or made snide comments. they argued that it was a sin, and that the races should be separate because god made them that way. sound familiar?

Really?? I mean i support a women's right to work, provided a company wants to hire them, and the issue was should a women work, these arguments never wanted to restrict a women working unless it relied on the job lump fallacy, much like illegal immigrants with jobs, there isn't a set amount of jobs. The voting one i can't care about because voting is jokes, but they feared it would ruin democracy, as if it was good to begin with. But the arguments used against gay marriage are either saying it would ruin the sanctity of marriage, which is confusing since the governments ruined that when marriage became a contract and not a religious ceremony. So at best you could say that the arguments against women working and marriage are related to religious reason, the former because they felt someone needed to help raise children, and it's just more economical if you don't have to leave the workforce due o pregnancy. (which is true for a variety of reasons, physical jobs, pregnancy could take you out of the workforce for almost a year, provided you spend a period breast feeding, and if you have 5 children, that's 5 years out of the workforce. Ask anyone in a career if they would want to make the salary they have now of the salary they would have in 5 years. Still, it was never a serious threat that a women was legally not allowed to work.) The marriage argument is difference because it is a direct impediment on the ability for two individuals to create a contract between each other. So I feel anything because the argumnts don't seem very much related at all.

There may be an argument that can be used against both, but they are different issues and the reasons for or against either can't all be the same.

Lets me know the arguments are not real just tired political talking points.

That tells me that those arguments are completely stupid, and they are.
