You should avoid using soap to clean under the foreskin, Soap removes all the natural moisturizers that are produced by the foreskin/glans combination. Just rinse with warm water and that will remove all the water soluble deposits, and leave the moisturizer where is should be.

If it is chaffed now, use a mild hand cream with vitamin E oil once, and then let it heal all by itself. Do not think this area is more prone to infections than other parts of your body. The genitals are clean by comparison. Think of it,....you shower, and cover this area with two layers of clean clothes. It is never exposed to the outside except for brief periods of urination. Urine is not the vitriol from hell we have been led to believe. Urine is sterile. Your hands are exposed to more germs than your genitals. You should wash your hands before touching your genitals.....and afterwards as well.
