史上最大的FOD

這是五月十二日一架日航飛機 747班機在洛杉磯機場被推離機門準備起飛之際,其左側機翼外側的 GE CF-6 引擎吸入了一個史上最大的 FOD,所有的報導都沒有說明為何會發生這樣的事情。

除了空運貨櫃離引擎太近的原因外, 飛機引擎在Push Back 時馬力是否全開到可以產生這麼大的吸力?從以下影片看到為何日航飛機仍不關掉引擎,繼續帶著這個拖油瓶往前移動?

知識家上的專家們是否可以開釋一下?

Supposedly, there is no engine turned on while the pushback tug truck still operating, why JAL could sucks in the container while its pushback tug truck still hooked on the front landing gear as shown in the attached photo and videos?

    Date: 11MAY

    A/C Reg: JA8922

    Place: LAX

    Time: Around 1340L

    Taxiway: On C

    Occurred: Pass C10 before P

    Aircraft clear to push back from gate 101 onto taxiway C with tail East (pass C10 engine off).

    Start engine on taxiway C

    Tower instructed for taxi on C and turn right on P (plan to use runway 24L for take off)

    One LAN container sucked into JAL number one engine after JAL passed C10 (there two service roads crossing C between C10 and P)

    After the accident, continued right turn onto taxiway P. Aircraft stopped on P after right turn and contact LAX tower for assist.

    As you already knew, no engine start at gate or during push back unless APU problem. If needs to start engine at gate, most of the time it will start from number 4 engine (of course sometime can also start from number 1 engine).

    Because the accident happened between C and C10 where the service road at (also service road between taxiway B and C), reporter just assumed engine started at gate 101 or started during push back and suck up the container during push back.

    After JAL parked at taxiway Q and after short investigation, subject aircraft needs to tow off from taxiway to remote gate. The picture you provided was the time that aircraft prepared to tow off.

    There was another incident occured after aircraft starts to tow. Maintenance forgot to insert nose gear pin and break the tow bar while making left turn from taxiway Q to Q1.

    Because of this incident, all passengers onboard JAL flight were disembarked from aircraft using stair on taxiway Q and transfer by bus to TBIT terminal.

    小弟試著說明:

    誠如回答者所提到,空貨櫃是在滑行中吸入 1 號發動機的,

    而蔡大師提供的影片已是要將飛機拖回登機門時的情形,

    至於大師聽到疑似引擎的聲音,

    我想應該是該架飛機 APU (輔助動力器) 運轉的聲音。
