Does anyone remember this movie: It's was probably made between the 50's and the 70's. It is in colour.
The lead actress is sort of a plane girl. She goes to a special place to have a 'makeover.' It we see all sorts of things happen to her; including having her eyes dyed. In the next seen we see her holding a long filter cigarette. Now she speaks with a dramatic voice and goes on to do whatever it was she set out to do.

There is one movie I remember that sounds slightly similar except for the long filter cigarette bit. I don't think its the same.
The film I'm thinking of was released in 1979 & called The Promise starring Stephen Collins and Kathleen Quinlan.
They are a young couple living together. He's from money, she's an orphan. A car accident on the way to their wedding destroys her face & puts him in a short coma.
His rich disapproving mother, bribes her. She tells her she'll pay for her face if she never contacts her son again. The girl agrees knowing that he'll find her no matter what. Mom ships her to the other side of the country where the best plastic surgeons are. But, mom tells son that she's dead and fakes a funeral.
We see her transformation and her voice coaching, she transitions for artist to photographer. He become a workaholic architect. Two years go by and she's embittered and he rather empty.
On a new building project in California, he meets up with her to try and get photographs from a local for his new building and is immediately drawn to her but doesn't know why. She is distant and says she isn't interested. yada, yada, yada... he pursues her...etc.
Sound familiar at all???? Nah, probably not...
