How to get permanently rid of Chat & Mobile Text box in Yahoo mail?
I refuse to allow flash on my wonderful Firefox Browser, and now I have this annoying box box that keeps poping up every time I go into yahoo mail.
Is there a way to get rid of it? I really don't want it, and I have to close it every time. Is there a way to permanently remove it like you can (or used to be able to) with the My Yahoo page?

I finally got rid of mine. Under Options, then Mail Options, Account Information, Personals (listed on the right near the bottom), Mailbox Options (In Personals Mailbox Options and Notification Options...make sure all of these are do not e-mail me, don't contact me, and make sure under Mailbox Status you are UNAVAILABLE). I had to turn on the Connections (which I did not want to do). Under Options, Mail Options, General Preferences, check the box beside Enable Connection-related features (Messages, Suggestions, Updates). This will give you all that anoying stuff on your mail box but it's stuff you can control better, once you have been asked if you want to connect with someone in your contacts and say no "remove", it will remove it from the list (not from your contacts), and you will not see that suggestion again. I hope I have not left anything out, I know how much the Chat & Mobile Text box was driving me crazy, if you want it removed I hope that you have good luck removing it.
