What is an acceptable blood glucose level?

Is 83 a decent blood glucose level? I had some blood work done for some minor surgery and noticed this level. does it seem okay?

    Absolutely perfect. Non-diabetics have an average fasting blood glucose level of 83 mg/dL. You are smack dab in the middle of the population. Congratulations.

    You have nothing to worry about! Anything above 100mg/dL after fasting I would consult your physician though!
