Do you change the settings on a 1080i television so that the resolution is 1080i?
I plugged in my new tv and the resolution looks low with my xbox. I have Assassins Creed in. The resolution doesn't look great, do i need to change the resolution myself? I have the correct cable plugged in their the high def ones.

I had similar problems at first. the answer lies in the xbox, not the tv. the tv is designed to accept the incoming signal, whatever it may be. it then determines how to best display it. Under the settings tab on your xbox there should be a display option, and you can adjust it to whatever HD setting you'd like, from 480 to 1080. the screen will flicker for a moment, and viola! the settings have changed, and now you are running at 1080, not that you will notice most of the time. now if you had an HDDVD player, you might, but they really aren't worth the investment, as sony's blu-ray technology has recently taken the lead in that particular battle. (which means buying a PS3, and I refuse) I bought the HDDVD player, but there really aren't that many movies available.
