just curious about some possible causes?
i have had the car for 6 years now, and i am about to replace the same motor mount for the third time, all within 30,000 miles. no oil contamination or abuse. the engine is only avertized with 96 horses, wtf!
i should mention the fact that it is a 4 cylinder in front of a manual transmission so the shift pattern is me, and after replacing the first one i toned down my driving (or after replacing the tires at least.) but as for the fluid contamination, once again, mount is dry, and the car runs at a constant temperature below half way on the tamp gage.
and i will be checking the other mounts in the morning. but the last i checked 2 weeks ago they were fine. i just might have to do the cherry picker trick to isolate a failure
the most recant one was purchased at a shop that i usually have no problem with, reliable service good quality parts, and a smile when they are helping some one.

You could possibly have another mount or engine support that also needs to be replaced. This mount is taking all the load and stress and being prematurely worn out. Thoroughly look around your engine for another ( or two ) mount, or engine support.

I am sorry bout the troubles. I feel ya! I alway's buy cars cheap and fix them, and am alway's running into these mind boggler's. Based on what you have told me, you are buying defective parts. Just because a part is brand new, does not mean it is of quality. Are you buying OEM, or are you buying aftermarket? Cars are some of the least quality machines manufactured today. Why? "Supply & Demand" The manufacturer's are in the buisiness to make money. Quality comming in 2'nd. Engineers are given only so much time to produce and they do as good as they can, but sometimes, that is not enough. Go to NAPA, or the dealer. Buy OEM. It will cost you more, on average 20%, but this should solve your problem. If it doesn't, unless you are a welder, the cost would be prohibitive. The next one you buy, from whoever, find out what the warranty is. OEM is the best.
Most people are not aware of this but car manufacturer's don't make their $ selling cars, rather they make money selling part's. Every part that you can think of on a car can be designed to last longer. What would you do?
Good luck!

Look on car forums to see if this is a common thing for your car and if so what permanent fixes there might be for it. I agree with the answer that says another mount may be damaged too. It might be best to have them all replaced this time.

3) misfire
4) aggressive driving style
5) hard-shifting tranny
6) putting the gear select in P or switching between D and R without coming to a complete stop
