In Your Country, What is the Line between Middle and Lower Class?

In the UK you are officially middle class is you are a qualified professional (eg doctor, lawyer, accountant etc) or if you have a degree.

To the socialists in the USA there is no middle class. Only the poor lazy class and the rich. Anyone who works and supports themselves is rich. And needs to have their money confiscated by the government.

If you can afford your mortgage, pay your bills and have money left over at the end of the month you are middle class to me...no matter where you live or what you do for a living...

in America middle class has been a bit murky for the past decade the line is the amount of debt one is in as compared to income and life style most of us live beyond our means
