I don't expect either of them to strike the Earth in the next century. We know Apophis won't hit in 2029 and the nominal position in 2036 is 50 million km from the Earth. 2007 VK184 presently has a nominal closest approach of 6.6 million km in 2048 but the uncertainty in the time of closest approach is about 6.5 days.

The important thing is to keep up the work of finding, cataloging and tracking. That way we'll eventually be able to answer these questions with a definitive yes or no instead of getting everyone in a flap over probabilities.

apophis has been downgraded to a 0 on the torino scale, meaning there is no chance it will hit us on either pass.

2007 VK184 is a 1 on the torino, meaning it will pass close to earth but the chance of impact is so unlikely that theres no reason to panic or even think it could hit us.

Neither - but that may just reflect my education. There is nothing like a foreseeable/preventable apocalyptic event to bring us all together to save ourselves.

Neither has any significant probability of impacting us, so neither concerns me.
