my chihuahua's ears wont stand up anymore?

I have a chihuahua too and I love her so very much.

When she was younger her ears didn't stand up either. When she got older they stayed up.

I also had it checked out by the vet and they said it could be heredity and they could just start to stand up soon.

Lucy never had scabs though, that might be from scratching and when they fully heal they might perk by up.

It just takes some time for the cartridge to fully develop.

Never experienced it, but some dogs (when they are less than a year) have some instances where their ears will fall, and then come back up... ears that fall later than that have to possibility to have broke the cartilage, you can ask your vet about taping them to see if they'll heal, if not you just might have a unique flop-eared chi. :-) Best of luck!

I had a similar problem with my Chihuahua and the vet told me to massage his ears whenever possible. I worked.

You don;t say how old she is. If she is a pup she may well be teething. The ears often go up and down during teething.

Yea i have one. His ears dont stand up when he is sick or sad. If he is getting old, this might also be the problem.

She's teething, it's a coincidence that she happens to have scabs and you're using vinegar.

At, her age she's teething. This will cause their ears not to stand erect. They'll stand again , don't worry.

my great dane was born with her ears down but I trained them to stand up by wraping them in bandages in way where they are always standing up maybe you try that

oh its just a sign of aging...some dongs with pointy ears go threw with it
