la 在法文 (French)、意大利文 (Italian) 及西班牙文 (Spanish)均可見到，其意思不外乎作為冠詞 (article)的“the”，有時亦作“a”，更可作代名詞 (pronoun)的“him”、“her”、“it”、“them”和“you”。
你覺得歌劇 (opera)中多“la”字，係因為部份歌劇源自法國 (France)、意大利 (Italy)及西班牙 (Spain)，當中尤以法國及意大利歌劇較風行。
例如 La liberazione di Ruggiero dall'isola d'Alcina 呢齣歌劇，譯番做英文就係“The Liberation of Ruggiero from the island of Alcina”，響呢度“La”就解作“the”。
以下係“la”在法文 (French)中ge意思，並附上例子及小妹的註解。[1]
