I have a really old plate that I have broken an edge of. I have the piece.?

Should I glue it myself or seek a professional, if the later, who am I looking for?

If you love it, have a professional do it. Put Plate Repair in your search engine and find someone with lots of experience.

A professional is more than likely going to do the same thing that you would do. He'll just use Superglue to fit it back on. The down side, of course, is that he is likely to charge anywhere from $30 to $60 for this simple repair. It's up to you, but if it were me...I would just glue it back together myself. Any 'collector's' value that the plate had was damaged when it chipped, and hiring a pro won't make a bit of difference as far as recovering the value.

depends if you considerate it valuable enough to go to the expense of a professional, otherwise good old superglue will do the trick.
