Anyone "embarrassed" to drink with their parents?
I have been 21 for a while now but I can't bring myself to have a drink with my mother, even though she drinks a lot and most likely knows I drink. (I have always tried to hide it, but you know how that goes)
A lot of my friends seem to be able to drink with their parents but I dont know, I am just uncomfortable about it.
Yeah I don't mind drinking with my friend's parents at all haha, just my own =x

I am perfectly comfortable with drinking with my folks. We lived in Germany when I was 12-13. Drinking age is 13 there. I never drank then, but I did a little starting when I was 16, with my mom and dad. They even bought it for me at times. I followed certain rules: only at home, do not go anywhere and only when my parents were home. I am 28 now and I only have an occasional beer and mixed drinks on special occasions. I feel that drinking (and drinking with them)is no big deal to me because my parents were so open with it. Most of my friends party hardy a lot and do stupid crap. It's just not that important to me. I have a child as well, and I plan to be just as open with it as my parents were with me.

lol i think thats most peoples reaction, i know tons of people who like to drink with their FRIENDS parents but not their own..i personally just think its funny.. you'll get over it eventually, just open up have a few drinks.
