Transferring memory card from orginal PS2 to a slimline PS2, please help?
I just bought a slimline PS2 and need to know how to transfer my memory card from the original PS2 (something I should have done a long time ago, I know). I have multiple games saved on the memory card that I do not want to lose, but when my son tried to transfer his memory card over to the slimline, it reformatted his memory card. All of his saved data was lost. Is there any way around this? We are talking years of saved games, and I really don't want to start over.

cant u use the same memory card for the ps2 slim?
okay... here's... how u do it... insert both mem cards on the ps2 slim... slot 1 and 2... power up the ps2...without a game disk in it... and then go to browser... then mem card..... then u should see a bunch of icons... select the game u want to copy then go to copy... then save it to ur new mem card...

That's weird, it shouldn't do that. Mine didn't. I think you'll have to look for a card reader, I don't know if they have them for ps2 though.
