In the China New Year's celebration when and where is the biggest fireworks celebration in Chinese territory.?
Just want to visit China for the New Year Celebration but wanted to know exactly on which day of the New years festivities is the most colorful celebrated with alots of fireworks and what other festivals besides the lanter should I check out during my visit in 2007. Also am I allowed to use fireworks myself?

In Hong Kong here we have large scale of fireworks on every second day of Chinese New Year & 1st of October, but you are not allowed to use fireworks (it is illegal).
In Macau, there is a special area near to the shore for people who want to play fireworks.

Chinese New Year is not the best time to see the incredible large scale fireworks shows - it's usually around 10/1 for mainland China (Shanghai or Beijing) & 10/10 for Taiwan (Taipei or Kaoshiun), it's their "national birthday" (like July 4th in U.S.).
People are normally allowed to play sparklers or snappers, but not the fancy kind of fireworks.
