Reducing recipro saw vibrations on 2x4 lumber?
I used my recipro saw (Makita) on several 2x4s. I adjusted the shoe so that it was against the lumber, but the vibrations were still intense. I used a Makita 6" wood-cutting blade with 6tpi. Anything I can do to reduce the vibrations?

When I make the suspension compress (by going over a bump or turning the vehicle), sometimes I can hear the coil spring suddenly shift. It's a metallic thump.
It happens more often in colder weather, but it doesn't happen often enough to make it happen on demand for the dealer.
Dealer inspected the suspension and says everything is fine. I've never had a car do this, and it's only the left-front that does this. Any thoughts? Is this a sign that it is going to break? $1,300 to replace the front springs.
This is a Volvo XC70, 45k miles. Left-front spring.
Thanks.

I'm not kidding. My young daughter is looking for a good duet that can be played on kazoos. This means it needs a recognizable tune, not long lyrical segments without much musical progression because those get lost on kazoo. Music of the Night (Phantom of the Opera) works well because it has a lot of musical variety, and it is easily recognizable even on the kazoo. But it is not a duet.
Even though she won't be singing the words, a duet about love and sex would not be appropriate.
Any thoughts? Bing Crosby and and David Bowie do a great duet that is a mashup of The Little Drummer Boy and Peace on Earth, but without the lyrics, the Peace on Earth part is probably not recognizable to many kids.
Thanks.
4 個解答Performing Arts6 年前High or low RPM motor differences?
I'm building a shoe buffer with 12" buffing wheels, and I need the shaft to rotate at about 800 rpm. Induction motors are available at 1725 or 3450 RPM with the same HP specs. Obviously, they would need a gearing ratios (I'm using pulleys and a belt), but would there be a difference between the two in operation? Purely for my own entertainment, I'd like the hum and whine as it comes to life when power is applied, so I'm guessing that the higher RPM might make a better noise.
Any thoughts on differences between them? Would a higher HP make a better noise? The buffers won't be loaded down. Thanks.

I found it dead on the floor, and I'm wondering if this is the start of an invasion.
Thanks.
